Centrum were engaged in 2021 to design a new two storey sporting and community pavilion as part of the Master Plan for Pinks Reserve in Kilsyth. The existing facility was demolished to make way for the development of a larger, contemporary building that is accessible for all users.
The soft green and grey external façade colour palette for the building takes inspiration from the established silver leaf eucalyptus trees that have stood on the site for 30+ years.
The dynamic, layered building form references the backdrop of the undulating Dandenong ranges and accommodates the following components:
- Community room that showcases unobstructed views of Pinks Reserve;
- Large first floor undercover spectator viewing terrace;
- Amenities to support female participation;
- Lift for universal access;
