Centrum Architects were engaged in 2013 following a formal expression of interest, competitive tender and interview process to master plan & deliver a new school on a greenfield site in Truganina South, west of Melbourne.

As head consultant, Centrum led the consultation, brief establishment and design process through the master plan phase and submission to town planning approval within 2 months of engagement. The school opened as scheduled for the 2015 school year. Stage 2 opened as scheduled in 2017.

The design of the school takes inspiration from the adjoining grassland nature reserve set aside for conservation of the native Golden Sun Moth.

Educationally, the design responds to the educational brief for the school and delivers an open contemporary teaching and learning environment supporting the chosen pedagogy, whilst recognising the need for a variety of functional teaching and learning spaces and acoustic issues.
